Sylvia Engdahl's Photo Albums

I have always liked taking pictures and organizing them. I used to have albums containing thousands, and when I moved to assisted living I scanned them all, preserving the pages as PDFs. {The many slides I had, which were taken with a higher-quality camera, were lost when I moved; but that didn't really matter as they were impractical to look at and I couldn't afford to have more than a few digitized.) Since then I have enjoyed creating small topical albums of the best scans; I have software that automatically resizes them and positions them on the pages. And it has saddened me, as I reach the age of 90, to realize that when I am gone they will all be destroyed. I have no family to leave them to, so somebody will erase my hard disks and throw out my flash drives, and that will be the end of them,

I've therefore decided to post those of general interest--mostly travel photos--at this website, which will remain online indefintely. Perhaps few people will look at them, but at least they'll still exist. It won't cost anything, as my hosting account has no limit on storage space. If you want to use one of them at your own site or elsewhere, feel free; I ask only that you not reproduce entire PDF files without giving me credit. Most graphics software will let you copy a picture from a PDF and turn it into a JPG file.
